Salland:
where to find it.

We cannot see what is in your policy, and we cannot promise anything on behalf of Salland. What we can do is tell you exactly where to find the answer and which condition sits in it most often.

Amounts are not given here. They change per year and per package, and with money, wrong is worse than absent.

With Salland itself

At Salland it is under facial care: acne, scars, skin spots and excess hair together on one page. HollandZorg runs under the same conditions.

To Salland

This reference was checked in September 2026. What is written there always takes precedence over what is written here.

Amounts and package names are deliberately left out.

The catch

Where it gets stuck

Salland wants to give permission in writing beforehand, so before the treatment starts, and asks for photos of your face and neck with it. You email that request yourself to their permissions address. If you start without that permission, it is hard to put right afterwards.

This is not the amount but the condition, and that is deliberate: a condition changes far less often than a maximum, and it is usually the reason a claim is refused.

The therapist

What Salland
asks of us

A skin therapist may provide all the care in this cover. A beauty specialist only the acne treatment, and then with core ANBOS membership and the acne specialisation alongside.

This is the part we can check for you. Just ask before you book and we will say whether we meet this requirement.

Looking it up yourself

This is how you reach your own amount

Three steps, and you have the amount that belongs to your policy. We cannot look it up for you: what is in your package only you can see, behind your own login.

  1. Step 1

Open the facial care page for the current year; Salland puts the year in the address, so take care you are not looking at an old overview.

  2. Step 2

Arrange the permission before your first treatment. You email a request yourself with photos of face and neck to the address on that page.

  3. Step 3

Keep the answer. If you claim without that permission, a rejection almost certainly follows and sorting it out afterwards rarely works.

What to ask them

The questions that at Salland matter

Below is what Salland publishes about it themselves. Take it with you when you call and check it for your policy: what holds for one package need not hold for another.

  • Do I need a referral?

No, Salland does not ask for a referral from your GP. What they do ask for is their own prior permission, and that is something else: you arrange it with the insurer and not with the doctor.

  • Why do they want photos?

To judge beforehand whether it is care and not grooming. They form that judgement before you start, which is why claiming afterwards works less well here than with most other insurers.

  • Does this come out of my excess?

With cover from the supplementary insurance, no. The excess belongs to the basic insurance. Many people put care off because they confuse the two.

Before you call

One question comes before this.

Is there a medical reason for your concern? Without that reason no insurer covers anything, and that includes Salland ; for most of what we do, that is the answer.

The whole route, with what happens when the answer is no
What we can do

An invoice
that is right.

We put on your invoice exactly what was done and by whom, so that you can submit it. If Salland asks for a registration number or for the therapist's qualification, you get that from us. Do call before you book: that saves you a refusal afterwards.

What we do not do is claim directly or promise that something will be covered. That conversation you have with your insurer, and we would have to guess the answer.

Other insurers

Are you not with
Salland?

Is your insurer not listed? The four questions above work everywhere, because they are about conditions every insurer applies.
