DSW:
where to find it.

We cannot see what is in your policy, and we cannot promise anything on behalf of DSW. What we can do is tell you exactly where to find the answer and which condition sits in it most often.

Amounts are not given here. They change per year and per package, and with money, wrong is worse than absent.

With DSW itself

DSW puts acne treatment and camouflage on two separate pages. There you choose your supplementary policy, and only then does the amount for your package appear. Stad Holland and inTwente run via the same pages.

To DSW

This reference was checked in September 2026. What is written there always takes precedence over what is written here.

Amounts and package names are deliberately left out.

The catch

Where it gets stuck

DSW covers acne treatment only on the face and neck. For any other area there is no cover, not even with a supplementary package.

This is not the amount but the condition, and that is deliberate: a condition changes far less often than a maximum, and it is usually the reason a claim is refused.

The therapist

What DSW
asks of us

The therapist must be a skin therapist affiliated with the Dutch Association of Skin Therapists, with their own provider code in the Vektis register. A beauty specialist does not meet that.

This is the part we can check for you. Just ask before you book and we will say whether we meet this requirement.

Looking it up yourself

This is how you reach your own amount

Three steps, and you have the amount that belongs to your policy. We cannot look it up for you: what is in your package only you can see, behind your own login.

  1. Step 1

Go to the acne treatment page; at DSW camouflage products are on a separate page with their own condition.

  2. Step 2

At the bottom, choose your own supplementary policy. Without that choice there is no amount, even when you are logged in.

  3. Step 3

Check whether the area you are coming for is the face or the neck; outside those DSW does not cover this treatment.

What to ask them

The questions that at DSW matter

Below is what DSW publishes about it themselves. Take it with you when you call and check it for your policy: what holds for one package need not hold for another.

  • Do I need a referral?

No. DSW states that for this treatment you need no referral and no prior permission. The condition sits with the therapist and not with your GP.

  • Do I share this budget with anything else?

At DSW acne treatment and camouflage are on separate pages with their own maximum. So look at the page for the treatment you are coming for, and do not go by what you read on the other.

  • Does this come out of my excess?

No. DSW says so in as many words: this cover does not count towards your excess, because that belongs to the basic policy and this comes from the supplementary one.

Before you call

One question comes before this.

Is there a medical reason for your concern? Without that reason no insurer covers anything, and that includes DSW ; for most of what we do, that is the answer.

The whole route, with what happens when the answer is no
What we can do

An invoice
that is right.

We put on your invoice exactly what was done and by whom, so that you can submit it. If DSW asks for a registration number or for the therapist's qualification, you get that from us. Do call before you book: that saves you a refusal afterwards.

What we do not do is claim directly or promise that something will be covered. That conversation you have with your insurer, and we would have to guess the answer.

Other insurers

Are you not with
DSW?

Is your insurer not listed? The four questions above work everywhere, because they are about conditions every insurer applies.
