The people who
treat your skin
With every device on this site stands the same sentence: two clinics with the same device do not give the same result, because what counts is the setting and the hand that holds it.
That is easily said. Here is whose hand that is.
- Skin therapists
- 5
- Orthomolecular skin specialists
- 2
- Laser specialists
- 2
You do not choose who you see yourself. That follows from your question, and if you have a preference you can simply say so.
The difference in training
Who treats your skin and who looks at what plays a part from within are two different trainings. That way you know who stands beside you for which question.
Skin therapistProtected title
Works with the devices and the treatments: laser, light, needling, peels. Judges what your skin can take and tunes the settings to it.
A bachelor's degree in skin therapy, at The Hague University of Applied Sciences or HU Utrecht. The title is protected in article 34 of the Individual Healthcare Professions Act, and our skin therapists are listed in the Dutch Quality Register for Paramedics.
Orthomolecular skin specialist
Looks at what plays a part from within: food, hormones, digestion. With acne and pigment that is often half the story.
An additional training alongside skin therapy or beauty therapy, focused on food, hormones and digestion. The title is not in the Individual Healthcare Professions Act, so always ask about the training behind it.
Laser specialist
Works with the laser and light equipment: hair removal, and light aimed at colour or vessels. Chooses the setting per skin type and per area.
A vocational training on the equipment itself, with certification per device. Not a protected title, so ask about the training behind it; our laser specialists work under the same protocols as the skin therapists.

Andres
Skin therapist
Andres is a skin therapist and works with the equipment where the setting makes the difference. He explains what a device does and where it stops, and says so too when a treatment gives less on your skin.

Iris
Skin therapist
Iris is a skin therapist and works a lot with people who have been somewhere else first. She starts with what has already been tried, because that saves months of trying again. Even when that means an earlier piece of advice still stands.

Griselle
Skin therapist
Griselle is a skin therapist and checks the texts on this site against what actually happens in the treatment room. More than one of the pieces here was changed because she said it went differently than it was written.
Cheyenne
Skin therapist
Cheyenne is a skin therapist. She takes the time to explain beforehand, even when that explanation takes longer than the treatment itself. If you do not know afterwards why something was done, something went wrong; that is her measure.
Anouk
Skin therapist
Anouk is a skin therapist. She does many of the programmes that run over months, which means you see her more than once. At every check-up things are measured rather than estimated, so that you can see for yourself whether the schedule holds.

Rojda
Founder of Diba Clinics B.V. and orthomolecular skin specialist
As founder, Rojda decides what does and does not happen in this clinic, and the second is the longer list here. She is the one who explains the measurement and who says when treating makes no sense. If you come with a question that has no treatment attached, you hear that from her.

Demi
Orthomolecular skin specialist
Demi works as an orthomolecular skin specialist and looks at what plays a part from within. With her an appointment more often starts with questions than with a device, and that is not a detour: with some skin concerns the driver is not in the skin.

India
Skin therapist in training and laser specialist
India does the laser treatments and is also training as a skin therapist. With laser hair removal she is often the one who works through the areas and adjusts what is needed each time.
Elaf
Laser specialist
Elaf does the laser treatments: hair removal, and the light aimed at colour or vessels. If she sees something during an appointment that belongs with a skin therapist, you hear that before she carries on.
Yasin
IT and marketing
Yasin builds and maintains this site and does the marketing. If something you read here is not right, he is the quickest person to tell.
Okan
Practice manager
Okan keeps the practice running: the calendar, the appointments and everything that goes wrong before you notice. If you call about moving an appointment, an invoice or something that is not right, you end up with him.
A diploma is not an end point.
Skin therapists can register in the Dutch Quality Register for Paramedics. A voluntary register with a five-year cycle. Anyone who stays in it demonstrates at least 1600 working hours per period, spread over at least 36 months, and 160 points of continuing education.
The register is voluntary, so being in it says something and not being in it says little. Which of us is in it we will state as soon as we have checked it per person; a claim about that should be verified and not assumed.
What clients wrote about who helped them.

I had a treatment from Andres. A kind man who does his job with love and does it well. Along the way he also puts the client at ease by talking and listening and asking whether everything is okay. Good job!!

I had a laser appointment with Demi today. It went nice and quickly and I feel very at ease with her. I'm very happy with my result so far and I can see clear progress! Very welcoming, professional and everything beautifully and neatly furnished too.

what you need
Who does your measurement depends on what you come for. If it is about acne or pigment, there is often a nutritional side and someone who looks at that joins in. If it is about laser or needling, a skin therapist does it. If you have a preference, say so when booking; that is perfectly fine.
