What it does

Where it lands

Men's skin is on average thicker, holds more collagen and has more oil glands and hair follicles. So it responds differently to heat and asks for different settings than the standard one. Fotona 4D Men goes through the same four steps, but with an adjusted energy level and an adjusted build-up.

The proportions are schematic; the depths beside them are not. Usual values for facial skin. The thickness differs per place on the body; on the back the dermis is a multiple of this. How deep we work in your case depends on the setting the therapist chooses.

What happens,

Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.

What you notice in the chair

The course is the same as in the standard treatment: goggles on, first from the inside through the cheek, then from the outside.

What you notice is that the warmth rises a little further. That is the point: thicker skin needs more to reach the same depth.

Why a separate treatment for men?

Because the skin is on average thicker and has more oil glands and hair follicles. With the same setting you do not reach the same depth.

Is it possible with a beard?

Usually yes, and the therapist assesses beforehand which areas are suitable. Hair absorbs the energy differently from skin.

What does it cost?

That depends on the areas we treat and we establish that at the intake. The intake costs € 50 and that amount comes off as soon as you are treated in the same appointment.

How long does an appointment take?

Allow 90 minutes at the clinic. That is the time reserved for you in the calendar, including the cleansing beforehand.

How much recovery time do I need?

Start with a skin analysis

The therapist looks at your skin, measures with the EVE-M and establishes what suits you. You hear straight away how many sessions it involves and what it costs. If you are treated in the same appointment, the intake fee is waived.
