Switching off the hair root. Per area or as a package, for women and men.
Where it lands
The laser aims at the pigment in the hair root, and that sits deep. What absorbs the energy heats up, the rest does not. That is why the laser works precisely, and why the therapist sets it to your skin type. One session reaches only the hairs growing at that moment, and that is never all of them at once.

What happens
Acts on
Melanin
The pigment in your skin and in the hair root. It absorbs light and turns it into heat.
- Stratum corneumThe outer layer of dead cells. What happens here shows quickly and heals quickly.Passes through here
- EpidermisWhere your pigment sits and where new skin cells come from.Passes through here
- Upper dermisThis is where the connective tissue starts. What you reach here heals by building.Passes through here
- Deep dermisHair roots, vessels and the firmness of your skin. Working this deep needs a reason. It works here
Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.

Laser hair removal, during the treatment
What you notice in the chair
The area is shaved if that has not been done, because the laser has to reach the root and not the hair above it. Then goggles go on and the therapist works through the area in strips.
Every pulse feels like a warm tap, with a cold burst right around it. On your upper lip and along your bikini line you feel more than on your legs; that is the same everywhere and it passes quickly.
Afterwards the area is red and warm for a few hours. Sauna, exercise and sun you leave alone that day, and sun protection belongs to the programme afterwards, not after it.
