Laser around the eye contour, for crow's feet and fine lines.
Where it lands
The skin around your eyes is the thinnest on your face and so slackens first. SmoothEye heats that area with a long, slow pulse in which the top layer stays cool. Existing collagen contracts and new production gets going, which makes the fine lines less sharp and the eyelid a little firmer.

What happens
Acts on
Water
Every skin cell is largely water. Aim at that and you hit tissue and not colour.
- Stratum corneumThe outer layer of dead cells. What happens here shows quickly and heals quickly.Passes through here
- EpidermisWhere your pigment sits and where new skin cells come from.It works here
- Upper dermisThis is where the connective tissue starts. What you reach here heals by building. It works here
- Deep dermisHair roots, vessels and the firmness of your skin. Working this deep needs a reason.Does not reach here
What happens,
in order.
Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.
Eyes protected
Metal eye shields go under your eyelids. They stay in for the whole treatment.
Heat around the eye
The handpiece passes in calm strips across the eye contour. The warmth rises and lingers there a while.
Straight on
The skin is slightly pink for a few hours. Make-up is usually fine again the same day.
What you notice in the chair
The eye shields take getting used to and feel cool. Once they are in you see nothing, and that lasts the whole treatment.
What you feel is a warmth rising around your eye. The therapist asks along the way how warm it is and adjusts accordingly.
What this treatment is meant for
On the left where this treatment works well, on the right when another treatment does more for you.
- Works on the thin skin around the eyes, where many treatments are not allowed
- Softens crow's feet and fine lines
- Needs no needles and no recovery time
- For dark circles from pigment or vessels you choose a different treatment
- For a real excess of eyelid skin this is too light; that is surgery
- This is a series; from a single session you see little

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe that close to your eyes?
Yes, with the metal eye shields that go underneath. They screen the eye completely and stay in for the whole treatment.
Does this help against dark circles?
Usually not. Circles come from pigment, from vessels showing through or from shadow, and that calls for a different approach. Which it is for you we establish at the intake.
How many sessions do I need?
Usually three to four, with a few weeks in between. Then you keep it up with an occasional session.
How long does an appointment take?
Allow 60 minutes at the clinic. That is the time reserved for you in the calendar, including the cleansing beforehand.
How much recovery time do I need?
A few hours slightly red around the eyes. Usually you walk straight out with it.
How often do I need to come?
A series of three to four, with a few weeks in between.
What does it cost?
From 150 euros; the amount depends on the option you choose. Every option is on the price page.
